Young professionals thinking global in Toronto
On Saturday, September 20th, over a hundred energetic participants engaged in a full day of interactive case workshops with a former Canadian Ambassador, officers of the NATO Council of Canada and of Cuso International, and current and former members of Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development (DFATD).
A sold out event, the Young Professionals International Affairs Training Conference at the Munk School of Global Affairs in Toronto was hosted by Young Diplomats of Canada in partnership with the Canadian International Council, Toronto Branch, and sought to genuinely, effectively engage young Canadians, whether students or professionals, in a diverse set of scenarios based on the real life experience of facilitators hailing from the diplomatic corps, international non-governmental sector, and working with Canadian business interests.
Young Diplomats of Canada led the facilitation of YPIATC, and will continue to expand similar programming across Canada. Our primary program activites are international delegations to global governance summits including the G20, World Bank & IMF, and United Nations, and we look forward to advancing delegations and forums internationally and across Canada to improve global governance and develop Canada and the world's future leaders.
