OTTAWA, CANADA – April 9, 2018
The Young Diplomats of Canada (YDC) is proud to announce that five young Canadian leaders will be attending the World Bank/International Monetary Fund (WB/IMF) Spring Meetings from April 17 to 22, in Washington, DC.
The 2018 YDC delegation to the WB/IMF Spring Meetings:

- Claire Robbins
- Carolyn Gaspar
Delegates were selected from a competitive pool of applicants after a rigorous national competition and will serve to represent the voices, insights and ideas of Canadian youth at the Spring Meetings.
“One of the key themes relevant to youth at this year’s Spring Meetings is the digitalization of work and challenges in the new global economy,” said YDC Head Delegate Sohaib Ahmed, “Young people across all economies are facing the reality of preparing for jobs of the future which often includes managing precarious work. We’re keen to hear how global economic leaders will work through these challenges and foster positive economic and workplace environments for the next generation of workers.”
As part of their engagement at the Spring Meetings, Delegates will also attend a number of side meetings with high-level Canadian and international officials to share their insights on opportunities and challenges with youth engagement within international and national economic systems.
