Announcing YDC’s 2022 Youth Delegation to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women

We are pleased to announce that Young Diplomats of Canada is sending a Canadian youth delegation to the UN Commission on the Status of Women for the third consecutive year.

The sixty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place in person from March 6-17, 2023 in New York, USA. The priority theme is: Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is a functional commission of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and the principal governing body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.

The CSW is instrumental in promoting women’s rights, documenting the reality of women’s lives throughout the world, and shaping global standards on gender equality and empowerment.

This year's delegation is a group of accomplished young Canadians from across the country who will ensure the voices of Canadian youth are represented on a global stage.
