We are recruiting a new team member to join the Young Diplomats of Canada Executive!
We are currently looking for a Social Media Coordinator (Bilingual) to support YDC with external communications on our social media channels.
Help create and work closely with the Director of Communications on a social media strategy
Design and execute a monthly content calendar
Make posts on all social media channels; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
Monitor partner’s social media channels on a daily basis to share their efforts
Prepare social media content between delegations
Provide support when required on communication correspondence
This position will report to the Director of Communications
Skills & Qualifications:
Bilingual – English / French (required)
Familiarity with global affairs, international organizations and YDC’s current summit portfolio (highly recommended)
Social media experience & knowledge (required) & graphic design skills (desired)
Approximately 15 hours of work per month (3-5 hours / week)
Strong written communication skills
Creative, team player, and strong organizational ability
Contract length - approximately 12 months (with possibility of extension)
Work with a dynamic team of passionate young leaders

The 2019 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings to be held in Washington, D.C. USA from October 18-20, 2019.
World Trade Organization:
The 2019 WTO Public Forum will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from October 8-11, 2019.
This year’s Public Forum, entitled “Trading Forward: Adapting to a Changing World”, will feature 137 sessions focusing on how to adapt to a rapidly changing trading environment. The Forum will also offer participants an opportunity to consider the increasing role for services in trade, the aspirations of youth for the future trading system and how the WTO should change to meet current and future challenges.
