Daniela Valenzuela Neto is a second year student at Carleton University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management. Originally from Vaughan, Ontario, Daniela is now based in Ottawa.

In high school, she was actively involved in Model United Nations (MUN). As the president of her school’s MUN Chapter, she initiated and organized St. Theresa of Lisieux CHS’ first Model United Nations conference. Leading a large student delegation, she has helped students in the York Region speak on global issues while fostering public speaking, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.

Daniela also had the privilege of interning at the office of the Hon. Senator Rosa Galvez where she developed a keen interest in sustainable development and environment policy.

Daniela is extremely curious and passionate about international relations and human rights. She hopes to use her skills and education to create positive change in the world. Excited to see where her passions lead her, Daniela is grateful for the opportunities and experiences that continue to shape her path forward.

Daniela is proud to be a Brazilian-Peruvian-Canadian and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. She hopes to amplify the voice of youth from all different backgrounds as a YDC communications advisor.
