Dawson Konrad is currently training to become a Foreign Service Officer at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. He is passionate about international affairs and diplomacy, and gained practical experience in the field through his work at the Embassy of the Argentine Republic to Canada and the Canadian Embassy to Spain.
Dawson holds a Master's degree in International Studies from the University of Montreal and a Bachelor's in International Studies and Modern Languages from the University of Ottawa, where he also minored in Latin American Studies. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, he enjoys exploring the social, economic and political dynamics of this region in particular.
Dawson is passionate about youth engagement, a commitment he developed during his career as a student-athlete. Competing for the swim teams at both uOttawa and UdeM, he experienced firsthand how sport can unite young people and foster a sense of community.
