Emma Talbot

Emma is currently coordinating the European Union's public diplomacy, policy, and outreach project in Canada. In her role, she specializes in stakeholder engagement, event coordination and strategic communications, contributing to strengthening EU-Canada relations through impactful initiatives. Emma brings diverse on-the-ground experience working for transatlantic relations in diplomatic settings as a Political, Press and Information trainee at the Delegation of the European Union to Canada and at the Quebec Government Office in London. 

Emma holds a Master's degree in European Studies at KU Leuven in Belgium, where she graduated with Distinction. Her thesis explored the influence of narratives around migration in EU policymaking. During her time in Belgium, she was a member of the America-Europe Youth Forum, advocating for increased youth involvement in transatlantic dialogue. She also holds a B.A. from McGill University in Political Science. Originally from Québec, Emma spent 17 years growing up in Morocco, where her multicultural upbringing shaped her international perspective and fluency in Arabic. 

Outside of work, Emma is a music and pop culture enthusiast, loves to host friends and family, and is currently perfecting her Spanish.
