Gontina Lévêque holds a master’s degree in Public and International Policies from the University of Sherbrooke, where her thesis focused on the relationship between Canada’s immigration policies and the country’s economic conditions. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in International Affairs from HEC Montréal.

Passionate about international relations, she participated in United Nations simulations for three years, first as a delegate then as a faculty advisor and coach for her university’s delegation. She also organized several simulations, including the World Trade Organization Simulation (SimOMC), and took part in the Quebec Model United Nations as a DIAIS with United Nations Youth of Canada.

Of Haitian descent and living in Laval, she was actively involved in university life as the president of the Black Students’ Association. In this role, she organized a series of events for Black History Month, including a roundtable on the role of Black women in Canada’s public administration and a discussion on the involvement of Black professionals in artificial intelligence.

Currently working as a Program Officer for the Official Languages Program in Quebec at Canadian Heritage, she has a strong interest in public policy and immigration issues. Driven by the desire to make policies more equitable and inclusive, she leverages data analysis to provide informed recommendations and promote equal opportunities for all.
