Gontina Lévêque is in her final year as a master's student in public and international policy at the University of Sherbrooke, and she holds a bachelor's in business administration and international affairs from HEC Montreal.
She is passionate about international relations as she participated in Model United Nations for three years, starting as a delegate and continuing on as a faculty advisor and coaching the delegation for her university. She also organized multiple simulations such as the Simulation de l’Organisation Mondiale du Commerce (simOMC) and participated as a dais with the United Nations Youth of Canada at the Quebec Model United Nations.
Living in Laval and being of Haitian heritage, she was implicated at her university by being president of the Black Student Association where she organized a series of events for black history month such as a panel with black women working in public administration in Canada.
Currently working at the Director General Regional Office of Quebec at CBSA, she has a strong interest in policy and immigration and seeks to have a positive impact by making policies fair and right for everyone. Working with data, she hopes to attain this goal by using numbers to make recommendations and giving everyone equal opportunities.
