Jasmine Griffith-Reid

Jasmine Griffith-Reid is a Parliamentary Affairs Advisor at the Senate of Canada. She supports federal policy making, political affairs, and policy portfolios such as international affairs, diversity and inclusion, social justice, gender, youth, and human rights. Prior to this, she has worked in various roles, including as Clemency Officer at the Parole of Canada, where she drafted preliminary decisions on clemency cases.

Jasmine is actively engaged in civil society and has been the Canadian Council of Young Feminists coordinator, which hosts 100+ young people across Canada, and co-spearheaded the launch and action plan of the #Vote16 Canada campaign to lower the voting age to 16 in Canada.

Jasmine is also devoted to both local and global community work and currently engages in groups like the Canadian Coalition for Youth, Peace and Security and Durham Black History Month Committee. 

 She holds a Joint Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Ottawa. She is currently working toward a Master of Arts in Political Science.
