Mitch St.Hilaire-McAnally

Mitch is a communications professional who has worked across non-profit, private, and public sectors including in broadcasting, think tanks, organized labour, and tertiary education.

As an avid traveller and native of Brampton, he is grateful to have met and connected with a diverse range of nationalities, worldviews, episteme, and personalities which helps informs his approach to international relations. He believes that principles of inclusion, diversity, openness, equality, cooperation, and diplomacy should lead foreign policymaking. His research interests include Canada’s evolving approach to global affairs, great power foreign & security policies, Taiwan’s contemporary international relations, the intersectionality of sustainable development, geoeconomic fragmentation, and global biodiversity governance.

Mitch has lived and worked in Canada, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and currently resides in Taipei, Taiwan. He graduated with an Honours Bachelors in Communication & Media Studies from Carleton University and is an AMO Young Asia Scholar.
