Young Diplomats of Canada (YDC) is excited to announce the selection of a delegation of six of Canada's brightest young leaders to attend the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG) Spring meetings 2021. In light of COVID-19, this year’s Spring Meetings will take place online from April 5-11.

The YDC 2021 IMF and WBG delegates are as follows:

  • Jaya Raghubir (Head Delegate)

  • Grace Li (Communications coordinator)

  • Alexander Parsalidis

  • Emma Huang

  • Farah Kammourieh

  • Sami Issa

The delegation comprises an incredibly diverse group of young people from Calgary, Toronto, Markham, Ottawa and Edmonton.

"Despite the widespread consequences of COVID-19, governments and institutions are using this crisis as an opportunity to reconsider existing resiliency and sustainability frameworks. The IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings provide a global platform to facilitate critical discussion on topics including, but not limited to, green recovery, inclusive economic growth, and emergency preparedness. Through engagement with key stakeholders, the 2021 Young Diplomats of Canada (YDC) delegation aims to contribute a youth perspective in shaping both Canadian and global priorities.”
