Announcing YDC’s 2022 Youth Delegation to the World Bank - International Monetary Fund Spring Meetings

We are pleased to announce that Young Diplomats of Canada is sending a Canadian youth delegation to the World Bank - International Monetary Fund Spring 2022 Annual Meeting.

The meetings bring together public and private officials to discuss poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.The Annual Spring Meeting will take place virtually from Monday, April 18, through Sunday, April 24, 2022.

The IMF and World Bank Group Boards of Governors meet to discuss international monetary issues and development annually. This year's YDC delegation is interested in addressing climate change, gender justice, poverty eradication, sustainability, and youth engagement.


Meet the 2022 IMF-WBG delegates:

Coralie Vachon-Cnockaert, Head Delegate

Coralie is currently completing her Master’s degree at Bocconi in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations. She is currently based in Milan and works as a research assistant at the Sovereign Investment Lab, a chair dedicated to studying sovereign wealth funds.


Michelle Musindo, Communications Coordinator

Michelle (she/her) currently works for a nonprofit and volunteers with organizations that center human lived experiences. Michelle holds a Masters in Global Affairs from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Arthur Kroeger College.


Mina Sidhu, Delegate

Mina is a graduate student at Carleton University pursuing an MA in Economics, and holds a BA in Economics from the University of British Columbia. Alongside her studies, Mina is a communications assistant at Canada 2020; she hopes to pursue a career at the intersection of her interests in sustainability, finance, and development.


Jason Liao, Delegate

Jason is a second-year business and computer science major at the University of British Columbia. He is an experienced environmental activist that is highly passionate about exploring big ideas and the stories behind them. He has previously interned with the House of Commons of Canada and is an elected director of the Alma Mater Society of UBC.


Elizabeth Tuck, Delegate

Elizabeth Tuck (she/her) is a Rhodes Scholar who completed an MSc in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford. She received her undergraduate degree from St. Thomas University where she honoured in Human Rights. An advocate for gender justice, Elizabeth has held various leadership positions with a number of gender-equality focused organizations across Canada.


Emilio Caputo, Delegate

Emilio is an Associate Consultant at Global Public Affairs in Victoria where he works with energy, environment, and resource-based clients. Hailing from McBride, he has experience working as a researcher and in various positions in government. Emilio holds a BA Hons. in History from UNBC and graduated as Valedictorian.
