Announcing YDC’s 2022 Youth Delegation to the International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings

With great excitement, we share this year’s Canadian youth delegation to the 2022 World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (WBG-IMF) annual meeting in Washington, DC. The meeting will focus on the cost of living and inflation, COVID-19 pandemic response, climate change, and food insecurity worldwide.

The WBG aims to reduce poverty by providing financing, policy advice, and other assistance to developing countries. The IMF has a similar goal of helping stabilize the international monetary system, hence the WBG and IMF work together to help countries in need.

The delegates come from a wide range of backgrounds and hope to advocate for the views of Canadian youth from all across the country.
