2021 OECD Delegation Final Report

These past few months, YDC’s Delegation to the OECD had the privilege to work with Ambassadors, Policy Analysts and other international Youth Delegations to provide recommendations to Canada and convey information to Canadian youth. In doing so, this delegation was successful in establishing new relationships with stakeholders, connecting with other youth organizations and expanding our outreach in receiving input from young Canadians. This delegation focused primarily on the Future of Work encompassing the social, environmental and economic landscape of Canada. For the Future of Work themes, this delegation wrote position papers that comprised of Environment, Climate, and Sustainability, International/Intergovernmental Cooperation, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Intersectional Equity/Equality, Digitalization/Digital Workplace, Well-being, Inclusion, Sustainability and Equal Opportunity as well as Governance and Economic Growth. 

This report will present the delegation’s achievements, advice and recommendations for future OECD delegates, key sessions the delegates attended and personal reflections from delegates.
