2022 UNPFII Final Report

Overview

The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) is an advisory body to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the UN, and is one of three mandated bodies assigned to deal with Indigenous peoples’ issues worldwide. This year’s forum was in-person in New York City at the UN General Assembly after our virtual attendance last year.

This document summarizes the milestones and achievements of our participation in this year’s forum. The delegation would like to give special thanks to Loic Veza and Sarah Bérubé at YDC for their ongoing support and respect, without which we would not be here. This two year journey would not have been the same without them.
