Sofiya Sapeha is a Parliamentary Affairs Advisor at the Senate of Canada. Sofiya first discovered her passion for federal policymaking through the Parliamentary Guide Program, and subsequently the Senate Page Program. Through work experience on Parliament Hill and the federal public service, she has developed a thorough understanding of the legislative process. 

During her undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa, Sofiya was involved with the International, Political, and Policy Studies Student Association (IPPSSA) and coordinated both the association's Internship Program and Orientation Week. She was also a student Senator for the Faculty of Social Sciences and advocated for the needs of all students on the university's Senate.

Sofiya is excited to further develop her passion for international affairs and youth engagement as a YDC Programs Coordinator.
